We have been very inspired by the plethora of denim on denim outfits we have been spotting on celebrities and fashion blogs.  One of our favorite double denim-dedicated blogs is That’s One Dope Ass Canadian Tuxedo, the brain-child of Gretchen Schneider, a Columbus native who now resides in L.A.

While the so-called “Canadian tuxedo” used to be considered the ultimate fashion faux pas, we think it can look super hip if it is executed the right way.  Our number one tip to mastering the double denim trend is to choose two denim pieces that vary in color or shade.

We also decided to take the trend a bit further and create a colorful, monochrome tuxedo and an all-leather tuxedo.  What do you think?  Would you sport one of these trendy tuxedo looks?

We joined our friend Bonnie for her Canadian Tuxedo Birthday Bash last week. Of course, we were sporting our finest denims.  And we made sure to get fresh weaves because we know nothing goes better with denim than some real luxurious hair. We had such a good time we think that we might make the Canadian Tuxedo our new office attire.
