Heatwave Isn’t Gonna Stop This Double Denim Dame

Image-1

So what if the thermostat in my car reads 101 degrees. That’s not stopping this die-hard denim fan from jumping on her hot bike and cruising around the mean streets of LA. Me, I’m sticking to tank tops, cotton lounge shorts and the AC that blast from my car. Or maybe chambray, which makes for the perfect hot weather Canadian Tuxedo.

Leave it to the lovely Olivia to take the Canadian Tuxedo up a notch or ten. The newlywed fashion icon was seen in a chambray button down from Topshop and jean skirt by black orchid paired perfectly with shoes from her line with Aquazurra at the Marchesa show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen her decked in denim

Michael van Oene just sent me this photo of his pals he’s dubbed “The Denim Boys,” who arrived at Two For Joy Coffee Roasters in Amsterdam rocking a couple Canadian Tuxedos (per usual). Birthday boy, Edgar, is upfront in a Koto chambray button down and Indigo & Main jeans. Robert is in back wearing Lee. Happy Birthday, Edgar! Now get some sleep.

Spotted: Canadian Tuxedo at Starbucks on Melrose

20120723-135243.jpgI had the pleasure of meeting Edward Diaz while grabbing my morning coffee at Starbucks in the Melrose District. Diaz, who works at the neighboring V/Nus, is seen here in a summery Canadian Tuxedo consisting of a Stapleford chambray shirt and white 511s by Levi’s.

Spotted: Reese Witherspoon in a Canadian Tuxedo

Here she goes again! The newlywed Reese cannot get enough of the denim-on-denim look that seems to be rocking the world. Last month we caught her in Paris donning a Canadian Tux, now she’s been seen in a summery chambray dress. The Stir, a trend blog on CafeMom, posted several denim-on-denim looks, bringing new meaning to the term “mom jeans.”
