Tom Ford walked the runway in a Canadian Tuxedo at London Fashion Week, perhaps taking the torch from all the denim draped icons at NYFW – seriously, we still haven’t come close to posting all of them. We’re digging the belt-less look, Mr. Ford. Yum.

So what if the thermostat in my car reads 101 degrees. That’s not stopping this die-hard denim fan from jumping on her hot bike and cruising around the mean streets of LA. Me, I’m sticking to tank tops, cotton lounge shorts and the AC that blast from my car. Or maybe chambray, which makes for the perfect hot weather Canadian Tuxedo.
OK, maybe it’s QUADRUPLE denim, but damn us if we’re going to miss a chance at alliteration. Clearly denim was all over NYFW this season. We’ve shown you a few things off the runway: now it’s time for what was on the runway. Leave it to Hood By Air to 1. Present a totally insane runway show, and 2. Take the humble Canadian Tuxedo to almost post-apocalyptic, Fifth Element-esque levels as seen above with what we’re seeing as a Quadruple Denim getup. Gotta get up to get down, right?

Leave it to the lovely Olivia to take the Canadian Tuxedo up a notch or ten. The newlywed fashion icon was seen in a chambray button down from Topshop and jean skirt by black orchid paired perfectly with shoes from her line with Aquazurra at the Marchesa show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen her decked in denim.
Just caught wind of this one … While this is a place to support and embrace the denim-worshipping community, sometimes bad ones make headlines and we have to call it out. Katy Perry walked the red carpet at tonight’s MTV VMAs in this number. We love Katy, despite some questionable wardrobe choices (tonight being the most recent), but seriously … was this a joke? Was she not Wide Awake when she got dressed? Was it a throwback to the ever-mocked Britney/JT denim disaster, or are they trying to top it? If it’s the latter, we may have a winner. Regardless of fashion sense – or lack thereof – we love Katy and the message she sends out to young women and little girls. She’s a firework, and we’re forever grateful.
The model/actress/fellow Ohioan/Andy Roddick’s better half was spotted draped in denim while shooting scenes for something in LA. I just may have to tune into her new show Grace & Frankie to see if this look makes a cameo.
