Last night I managed to sneak a photo of songwriter and producer Michael Linney at Soho House West Hollywood. Mr. Linney is looking dapper in his all-denim ensemble made up of Zara jeans and H&M button down.

Talk about timing! Just minutes after doing a mini photo shoot for my Wall Street Journal front page story with my friend and neighbor, actress/model Sandra Lerga, I ran into actor Ross Anderson who was also rocking a sick Canadian Tuxedo. Pictured above is Ross in Nudie jeans and a TOPMAN jacket.
If you want to see a Canadian Tuxedo in LA, just sit at Coffee Commissary on Fairfax for about 30 seconds and one will appear. It’s not quite as crazy as sitting at Two For Joy in Amsterdam, but as close as you’ll get in the City of Angels. Here is Leigh Ann Souers – with Bob the Dog – in a Levi’s Jacket and Rag & Bone jeans.
I think this guy is my denim and dog soulmate. This is Mark Avery, who we met last year at the same Starbucks in a different Canadian Tuxedo. Mark is seen above rocking some very cool LA brands you should check out including: a denim jacket by Mister Freedom, henley from Rising Sun & Co. and jeans by Simon Miller. Pictured with Mark is his yorkie, Twiggy. Don’t you think Twiggy and my baby Rocco would make the perfect couple?
Yesterday I had the best time ever passing out Gay For America stickers to people at LA Pride (sometimes my job doesn’t suck too bad). Some GFA fans stopped me on my way home in West Hollywood to snap a photo of me in my Gay For America shirt and Gap shorts and jacket. Well be launching Gay For America later this month, but you can get some goods now here. To see all my photos from LA Pride, visit our Facebook page here.
Yep. We got the memo. Tonya Cooke, Alf LaMont and I draped ourselves in denim and toasted Nic Adler‘s 40th last night (after taking in some live music at the Sunset Strip Market). Alf is in a Levi’s denim jacket and jeans from H&M. I’m on the right in Current/Elliott jeans and a Gap denim jacket. Tonya’s on the left, and I must’ve toasted Nic a few too many times because I cannot remember what she’s wearing, but I like it.
Photo compliments of Nathan Levinson.
The cooler June temps had a lot of Angelenos keeping warm in their Canadian Tuxedos, including this guy. Eric Samuelson is pictured above at the Sunset Strip Market in Levi’s jeans and a Lacoste denim button down.
I ran into this denim-clad darling as I was coming out of Tailwaggers on Fairfax this morning. She was a little shy at first, but my dog, Rocco, got her to laugh in her Crew Cuts overalls, Levi’s shirt and red Converse high tops. Her mom assures me the whole family is into denim on denim, so let’s hope we see them again.
Another day, another denim. At least at the Coffee Commissary in Los Angeles. Seen above is Anthony Greenfield in a Levi’s denim jacket, Republic of Crate t-shirt, Zara jeans and his signature chapeau. Oh, and ladies and gays, if you need your daily dose of H.O.T., check out his Instagram page. Dayum.
