I’m not gonna lie. I had to Google Cody Simpson to figure out exactly who he was. #Old. This Australian teen pop sensation is so huge that he actually has a doll created after him. I love the Cody doll already because one of the outfits is double denim. I think I just found my new desk mascot. Now to hit Spotify to check out his music.
You can pre-order your Cody Simpson doll at Toys R Us now.
Happy Halloween, everyone! So many of us get so wrapped up in Michael Jackson’s iconic red leather suit that we fail to remember one of the greatest Canadian Tuxedos ever assembled. Ola Ray rocks some spectacular denim looks we’re seeing resurface these days: traditional blue mixed with animal print denim. Maybe this is from where my passion for the double denim look stems. Hmmm. I digress.
At any rate, it really doesn’t get better than Thriller. Never has.
The Canadian Tuxedo should be Kanye West’s VMA uniform because here he is working it in double denim again. Kanye, seen here with Jay-Z wore Balmain jeans and an Ombre chambray shirt.
The Canadian Tuxedo may suck, but the song is dope as hell. Coming at us from the Tim and Eric Show Awesome Job, Great Job! on Adult Swim is this jazzy number, “I Sit On You.”
Ooh! We love it when Canadian Tuxedos lead us to new music. Today we found this DOPE Canadian Tux on The Ruffled Feathers website. Pictured below in this, um, menacing image is mandolin player Charley Wu. Click here to listen to the quirky tunes by The Ruffled Feathers.
Our good old pal Bryan Sutton of Chicago spotted The Kills‘ Jamie Hince and Alison Mosshart rocking Canadian Tuxedos at Lollapalooza. The double denim duo performed on Friday night on on the Bud Light stage. Wonder if Kate played a role in their dope wardrobe decision …
Thank you to Graham Kurzner, owner of Luckie Pierre, who sent us this picture of Fil Krohnengold from Sara Bareilles’s band in a Canadian tux. Love it! Perhaps Fil will don one tonight, when they perform at The Greek in Los Angeles … we can only hope.
