Just caught wind of this one … While this is a place to support and embrace the denim-worshipping community, sometimes bad ones make headlines and we have to call it out. Katy Perry walked the red carpet at tonight’s MTV VMAs in this number. We love Katy, despite some questionable wardrobe choices (tonight being the most recent), but seriously … was this a joke? Was she not Wide Awake when she got dressed? Was it a throwback to the ever-mocked Britney/JT denim disaster, or are they trying to top it? If it’s the latter, we may have a winner. Regardless of fashion sense – or lack thereof – we love Katy and the message she sends out to young women and little girls. She’s a firework, and we’re forever grateful.

Sitting pretty next to Jay Z at the Nets game last night. The two even took a few moments to chat with LeBron James. Anyone else as obsessed as we are with this story? Thoughts? Theories? At least Bey looks good in her denim (and anything, really).
We came across this unbelievably amaze video from California duo/real-life couple Pomplamoose. This mashup of my faves – Royals by Lorde, California Love by 2Pac and Loser by Beck. What can we say? This girl just loves her double denim. Can you blame her? We’re giving Rihanna props for upping her Canadian Tuxedo game since we last reported her in this get up. Seen above is Rihanna on a mother-daughter shopping trip in LA rocking a destroyed denim pencil skirt and denim top with Chanel lapel pin – and we all know Uncle Karl is all about the denim on denim.

We all know Rihanna is no stranger to the Canadian Tuxedo, but this double denim ensemble has us questioning her taste in style almost as much as we do her taste in men. RiRi was seen rocking denim over denim at her Rihanna for River Island at London Fashion Week. Gross.
