It’s been a while since we’ve posted about a baby draped in denim. Rachel S. just set us this picture of her adorable baby boy, Griffin, in a denim romper from the Gap. With stylish parents like his, we’re sure this isn’t the first of many dope ass Canadian Tuxedos we see on this kid. Watch out baby Egypt: Griffin is going to give you a run for the money in Hollywood.

We have been very inspired by the plethora of denim on denim outfits we have been spotting on celebrities and fashion blogs. One of our favorite double denim-dedicated blogs is That’s One Dope Ass Canadian Tuxedo, the brain-child of Gretchen Schneider, a Columbus native who now resides in L.A.
While the so-called “Canadian tuxedo” used to be considered the ultimate fashion faux pas, we think it can look super hip if it is executed the right way. Our number one tip to mastering the double denim trend is to choose two denim pieces that vary in color or shade.
We also decided to take the trend a bit further and create a colorful, monochrome tuxedo and an all-leather tuxedo. What do you think? Would you sport one of these trendy tuxedo looks?

Spotted: Canadian Tuxedo at Chateau Marmont
Having great friends in a city like Los Angeles lead to amazing nights like Wednesday. My dear friend, Hellin Kay, stylist to the stars/fashion editor/photographer extraordinaire, was kind enough to ask me to be her “Plus 1” to Gen Art‘s party for Vena Cava at the famed Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood. As we were waiting for my all-time fave St. Vincent to perform a solo set (I die a thousand times over), I had the pleasure of meeting musician Darian Zahedi, who was double denimed up in a Levi’s jacket and Kill City jeans. Spotted: Noah Abrams in a Canadian Tuxedo at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills
I recently caught up with my long-time friend, Photographer Noah Abrams, at a pool party/impromptu, unofficial Bexley High School reunion at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills. Noah skipped a bathing suit, opting for the best suit around: denim _ Nudie jeans and a Levi’s jacket. I’m never shocked to see The Black Keys’ go-to photog in a Canadian Tux … pretty sure that’s their official uniform.
And if Noah sounds familiar, it may be because he’s making tabloid headlines as Jennie Garth’s new man!
