Spotted: Canadian Tuxedo at Trader Joe’s in West Hollywood
I caught this dapper Denim Dan grabbing a sample of coffee at Trader Joe’s on Santa Monica and Poinsettia last night. What a refreshing site. The only double denim I usually see there is on old Russian ladies and pretty tragic at that.
Double denim at Double RL in Los Angeles!
Ralph sure knows how to do denim on denim right. We spotted this Canadian Tuxedo while shopping at RRL on Melrose last weekend. Swoon.
Canadian Tuxedos invade the NC State Fair!
Our Twitter friend @nojorts sent us so many pictures of Canadian Tuxedos from the NC State Fair that our heads nearly exploded. While most were not what we would categorize as “dope,” we had to share them all. Wow.

Canadian Tuxedo, Stockholm Style
Stockholm Streetstyle posted this amazing denim on denim ensemble that I’m kind of obsessing over. Pictured here is Stina wearing clogs from H&M, vintage pants from Lisa Larsson, Stina’s mother’s old top, denim jacket from Weekday and a bag from Zara.

Spotted: Canadian Tuxedo at Animal in Los Angeles
My favorite look at my favorite restaurant? Oh hell yeah. We saw Marc Gomes rocking a Diesel jacket and Levi’s jeans at Animal over the weekend. If you’re lucky enough to grab a table here, you must try the foie gras, biscuit, maple sausage gravy. Heaven in your mouth.
Dope denim styles at Gen Art’s Fresh Faces in Fashion
No surprise that we would be surrounded by incredible fashions at Gen Art’s Fresh Faces in Fashion Los Angeles hosted by Zoe Saldana. I had the pleasure of meeting DJ Riggs, creative director at EDIA Cosmetics for Hair on Saturday night. DJ Riggs is always rocking denim on denim and was clad in an All Saints top, Acne jeans, Nina Von Kottwitz chain and shoes by Opening Ceremony. You can find him at MAINENTRANCE in NYC.
Spotted: Canadian Tuxedo at Toronto Fashion Week
This begs the question: Do they just call it a Tuxedo up there? Hmm. Regardless, this denim on denim creation made its way down the runway yesterday at Toronto Fashion Week. The husband and wife team of Joe and Kimberly Newport-Mimran of Pink Tartan were behind this dope tux. Me likey.
Canadian Tuxedo by M2F Brand Denims
How great is this colorful and eco-friendly spin on the Canadian Tuxedo? M2F Brand Denims utilizes “green” dying methods with its custom Made2Fade Technology® Yarn and Clear H20 Colors® Dye Process. According to M2F, traditional jean manufacturing processes can be very harmful to the environment. “It’s not uncommon for dyers and finishing plants to pollute the water table by flushing dirty dyes and toxic chemicals.”
Don’t know, Kermit. Maybe it is easy being green.
