Having great friends in a city like Los Angeles lead to amazing nights like Wednesday. My dear friend, Hellin Kay, stylist to the stars/fashion editor/photographer extraordinaire, was kind enough to ask me to be her “Plus 1” to Gen Art‘s party for Vena Cava at the famed Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood. As we were waiting for my all-time fave St. Vincent to perform a solo set (I die a thousand times over), I had the pleasure of meeting musician Darian Zahedi, who was double denimed up in a Levi’s jacket and Kill City jeans. More on my star-studded night out with Hellin can be found here.
A little video I shot of St. Vincent covering The Beatles’ Dig A Pony (swoon).
My neighbor, Becca Starr, just posted this picture from my dog (seen in orange) Rocco’s 6th birthday last week! Her precious Lulu is the other yorkie. I’m in heaven in the middle, wearing Levi’s denim cutoffs and a denim shirt – dotted with little hearts – from H&M.
Even without his robe, Kevin Lee Light looks angelic. I ran into long-time pal and subject of another one of my blogs I Saw Jesus in LA at the Sunset Strip Market in West Hollywood last Thursday night. While Jesus was out and about in his plain clothes, I stuck to my denim on denim uniform: James Jeans Twiggy denim leggings in coral I picked up at Rowe in Columbus, Ohio and my Gap jean jacket I still have from high school.
Good news for fans of both my sites: Kevin informed me he just got a denim Jesus robe. Can’t wait to see that look.
I caught this girl – in a Topshop jacket, Acquaverde jeans, vintage shirt and Old Navy shoes – outside of Smashbox Studios while walking home from Trader Joe’s in West Hollywood.
Last week I spotted this assistant buyer for FIDM outside of The Josh & Josh Show in West Hollywood. Kassie is seen here wearing Kill City jeans, an H&M top and vintage T-shirt. If you’re in LA and love comedy, you have to hit The Josh & Josh Show. Aside from always having a solid lineup, there’s never a cover and no drink minimum. It’s at Bar Lubitsch every Thursday night, starting at 8:30 p.m. For more information, click here.
The guys weren’t the only ones rocking Canadian Tuxedos at The Sunset Strip Market Grand Opening last night. here is Jaime Lawson of Bleu Garters in an anthropologie top and Target destroyed denim shorts. Check out her site for some super sexy custom garters that can be worn on your leg or your head.
Last night was the Grand Opening of The Sunset Strip Market in West Hollywood. If you’re in LA, you gotta hit this next Thursday night. The vendors were amazing, the vibe … super fresh – and I’m not just talking about the food. And, they serve beer and wine, and there’s live, acoustic music … (Can you tell I’m in love?)
It’s June Gloom in LA , so of course I ran into some double denim. This guy was spotted rocking a John Varvatos denim shirt and Levi’s jeans.
Here I am in my new James Jeans Twiggy denim leggings in coral I picked up at Rowe in Columbus, a California flag t-shirt from Essex Clothing on Melrose in LA, vintage Gap denim jacket in front of my friend Tony Murray’s place, T. Murray’s Bar and Kitchen in the Brewery District.
I caught Jewelry Designer Devon Pavlovits a few weeks ago at the Palihouse in West Hollywood, but lost her card and was unable to post until today! She’s seen here in a vintage denim shirt and jeans from Target. To learn more about Devon and her incredible handcrafted jewelry line, click here.
While waiting in line to buy a losing Mega Millions ticket last Friday, I had the pleasure of meeting hot mama Diane Case in an H&M jacket and colored Zara jeans.
