Yep. We got the memo. Tonya Cooke, Alf LaMont and I draped ourselves in denim and toasted Nic Adler‘s 40th last night (after taking in some live music at the Sunset Strip Market). Alf is in a Levi’s denim jacket and jeans from H&M. I’m on the right in Current/Elliott jeans and a Gap denim jacket. Tonya’s on the left, and I must’ve toasted Nic a few too many times because I cannot remember what she’s wearing, but I like it.

My friend, Kristin, just had to share this adorable photo of her gorgeous daughter (modeling scouts take note) in a Canadian Tuxedo on her way home from school last week. I’m loving the ombré chambray top by Mudd, matched with Old Navy skinny jeans, Converse high tops and Garnet Hill messenger bag. It’s been a while since we have seen a “Columbuxedo,” and this is the first of two we received over the holiday weekend. Stay tuned for more dope double denim from my hometown!

Denim in the City! Sarah Jessica Parker was seen last Friday in Manhattan rocking a denim trench and destroyed jeans with her signature look – one big cuff – walking her girls home from school. Like mother like daughter. Looks like little Tabitha was getting into the swing of things in a denim dress. Adorbs.
I ran into this denim-clad darling as I was coming out of Tailwaggers on Fairfax this morning. She was a little shy at first, but my dog, Rocco, got her to laugh in her Crew Cuts overalls, Levi’s shirt and red Converse high tops. Her mom assures me the whole family is into denim on denim, so let’s hope we see them again.
Last night I had the pleasure of accompanying the talented Stanley Bell to Gary Baseman’s The Door Is Always Open at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles. I also the pleasure of seeing more Canadian Tuxedos than I could count. There were a few standouts, including this number. Karina Dixon is seen above in an H&M sleeveless denim top, Rag & Bone jeans that fringe bag I am still obsessing over from Zara.
What can we say? This girl just loves her double denim. Can you blame her? We’re giving Rihanna props for upping her Canadian Tuxedo game since we last reported her in this get up. Seen above is Rihanna on a mother-daughter shopping trip in LA rocking a destroyed denim pencil skirt and denim top with Chanel lapel pin – and we all know Uncle Karl is all about the denim on denim.
My girl, LaRae Carmen, was shaking away her Case of the Mondays in this Canadian Tuxedo at the Express home office in Columbus, Ohio. LaRae was repping her employer well dressing head to toe in Express (coffee by Starbucks). There’s still time to pick up your pair of Express denim 40% off today.
