The Urban Gent has teamed up with Italian denim label Meltin Pot to style some fall denim looks, including this dapper Canadian Tuxedo they’ve dubbed the “Urban Cowboy.”

Stopped at a light on La Brea and Santa Monica, I saw this girl waiting for a bus after what appears to be a trip to Urban Outfitters. She was wearing a multi-patch denim shirt and mustardy tan jeans, a definite upgrade to the tranny hookers I usually spot in that neck of the woods.

I had the pleasure of meeting Taiwo, one half of the twin duo Christian Rich, last night while in line for the bathroom at The Tasting Kitchen on Abbot Kinney in Venice, Calif. Taiwo is seen here in Levi’s denim jacket and jeans, Diamond Supply Co. shirt , Fly Society hoodie and some dope Air Jordan 3s. Both dinner and denim were great.

My hometown represents! Another day, another photo sent my way from Columbus, Ohio. This time from Matt Barnes of the incomparable Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams. In his email, Matt says,
“I think Columbus is vying to take the moniker away from Canada. It should be called the Columbus tuxedo or the Columbuxedo! I was getting coffee at Stauf’s (a Columbus staple for the young and awesome) this afternoon when I came across these two hip fellas. My senses must have been piqued after seeing Maren Roth‘s post on FB linking to your ever-so rad site this morning.”
We love the idea and Matt, who rocks double denim at least once a week, earning him a spot on this site before. Thanks, Matt! Just one question: When did Rufus Wainwright move to the Bus?

Maren Roth has sent me yet another picture of her pal, Kevin Ryan, whom she has proclaimed the “King of the Columbus Canadian Tuxedo.” As founder of Rowe, the top-drawer, tony boutique in the Capital City, we’re gonna take her word for it.

Kevin is pictured here at The Social in a Patrik Ervell shirt, Levi’s Made & Crafted jacket, and Naked & Famous jeans.

One of my dearest friends, Molly, sent me this unreal Canadian Tuxedo she saw at Bun’s Restaurant, an institution in the Historic District of Delaware, Ohio. I’ve been eating at this place since I was a little kid and have no recollection of this guy. Kinda speechless.

Not that this is an uncommon sight (speaking purely of wearing double denim), but here I am in Cave Creek, about to embark on a two-hour horseback ride through the stunning, tranquil desert. I’m seen here in some old Chip & Pepper skinny jeans, denim button down by Arnold Zimberg and vintage boots I picked up for $20 at American Superior Vintage on Melrose. Can’t recall who made the scarf, but I got it at one of my favorite spots to shop, Milk in LA.
