Last weekend Blake Shelton donned the double denim when he and Miranda Lambert performed onstage during the Stagecoach Country Music Festival in Indio, Calif. Looks like thinks cooled down since last weekend’s Coachella Music Festival … way too hot for that look.
Spotted: Canadian Tuxedo at Sebastian Ingrosso at Coachella
Just before Swedish DJ Sebastian Ingrosso brought down the house at Coachella, I spotted Rachel O’Reilly braving the Sahara Tent heat in a Canadian Tuxedo. Rachel is seen here rocking a denim Trouvé top and new Gap denim cutoffs, which she said she absolutely loves!
High waisted denim reigned supreme at Coachella
The blazing heat didn’t keep the denim away last weekend at Coachella 2012 in Indio, Calif. It seemed like every girl there was wearing-waisted jean shorts in just about every color imaginable. Not the best look for all body types, but hey, we were all there to have fun. I thought it would be too hot to spot a Canadian Tuxedo, but did manage to see this double denim jumper at a beer tent on day 1.

We all know Rihanna loves her double denim, but now she’s taking it to a skimpy new level. The pop princess tweeted this picture of herself in an Agent Provocateur Canadian Tuxedo bikini at Coachella.

This eblast just brought a little sunshine to this rainy day in LA – my favorite whistling multi-instrumental artist Andrew Bird in my favorite outfit: the Canadian Tuxedo. Bird is currently on tour. If you have the chance to see him, do. Mind-blowing would be an understatement.
Everything Is Everything: Lauryn Hill in a Canadian Tuxedo
Our new friend Jennifer, of fashion/music blog malcriada, reminded us of Lauryn Hill’s dope double denim looks in the “Everything Is Everything” video off of The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill – one of the greatest albums of my generation. Taking a page from Miss Hill, canadiantux.com is about developing a negative and into a positive picture. Double denim is by no means a fashion faux pas. This site is about celebrating the look and changing the stigma associated with he dreaded Canadian Tux.
