After an amazing dinner at SUGARFISH, my friend, Nick, and I decided to grab a nightcap and happened upon Bar Toscana across the street in Brentwood. I knew it was going to be a great night when we snagged the last two seats at the bar next to this guy draped in denim. After a couple of incredible cocktails, handcrafted by some charming Italian mixologist, my new friend still wouldn’t let me post his name, but he did allow me to snap this photo of him in a Hurley denim shirt and Guess jeans.
Last week, while out celebrating Obama’s reelection, I met Amira Day at my favorite watering hole, The Dime on Fairfax in Los Angeles. Amira is seen here in a Zara jacket, Marc Jacobs tank and H&M jeans.
Reese Witherspoon is no stranger to the Canadian Tuxedo, and she was seen in yet another double denim ensemble while out last week with her newborn son, Tennessee Toth.

On Tuesday night I had the pleasure of meeting another Columbus ex-pat at Footsie’s in Los Angeles. I’ve written several items about how much people from Columbus, Ohio love their Canadian Tuxedos (one fan has even proposed we change the name to “Columbuxedo“). So, it was no surprise, when multi-instrumentalist Brad Caulkins strolled in rocking the double denim. Brad is seen above in a vintage Big E Levi’s jacket, a family heirloom from the early 50s which once belonged to his cousin, who died wearing it in motorcycle accident. Brad’s also wearing A.P.C. jeans.

Attention Angelenos! Racked LA has reported some exciting news. According to a recent post, J Brand Factory Outlet Store will be opened this weekend – total rarity – to unload some of its incredible fall denim. The DTLA shop will be open form noon to 4 p.m. this Sunday, October 28. The new fall merchandise will run you around $99, but there’s plenty of deeply discounted denim starting at $36.

After an incredible meal, I ran into Vizion Jones, tour manager, outside of Båco Mercat in Downtown Los Angeles. Vizion was looking dapper in Rag & Bone jeans and a Levi’s jacket.
Christina Hendricks was recently spotted in a Canadian Tuxedo while shopping around West Hollywood. The buxom Mad Men star was doing a little retail therapy at Vince and Farbod Barsum (she’s seen here with one of their exotic bags). Have you been to Vince lately?
