The other night at Venice’s new hotspot Barnyard, I ran into pal Jamison Monroe, Jr., CEO and founder of Newport Academy, who excitedly showed off this photo of Jessie Hines and him at work one day, celebrating denim on denim back at the office. Who could blame him?
According to Jamison, “After a bit of a debate about whether denim was going to be an acceptable form of attire for the entire staff, denim won out and the next day we made it [Canadian Tuxedo] Day at Newport Academy.” Love it.

Twilight hottie Kellan Lutz was seen sporting a little denim on denim while strolling down Venice’s Abbot Kinney, recently named the “Coolest Block in America” by GQ. Hottest guy on the coolest block? Sounds good to us.

I caught my reflection in the window of Starbucks on Melrose and Stanley in Los Angeles this morning. The girl behind me has to think I’m a bigger narcissist than I actually am. Here I am (holding my prize pooch Rocco) in vintage Levi’s cutoffs and my denim Gap jacket from high school (guess that would be considered vintage, as well), Splendid circle shirt, Gucci bag and TOMS gold herringbone shoes. I had the pleasure of meeting Taiwo, one half of the twin duo Christian Rich, last night while in line for the bathroom at The Tasting Kitchen on Abbot Kinney in Venice, Calif. Taiwo is seen here in Levi’s denim jacket and jeans, Diamond Supply Co. shirt , Fly Society hoodie and some dope Air Jordan 3s. Both dinner and denim were great.

We saw this guy at the rooftop lounge at Hotel Erwin in Venice Beach. Couldn’t make out the jeans, but he was wearing a dope denim shirt by Scotch & Soda.
