One of my dearest friends, Molly, sent me this unreal Canadian Tuxedo she saw at Bun’s Restaurant, an institution in the Historic District of Delaware, Ohio. I’ve been eating at this place since I was a little kid and have no recollection of this guy. Kinda speechless.

Not that this is an uncommon sight (speaking purely of wearing double denim), but here I am in Cave Creek, about to embark on a two-hour horseback ride through the stunning, tranquil desert. I’m seen here in some old Chip & Pepper skinny jeans, denim button down by Arnold Zimberg and vintage boots I picked up for $20 at American Superior Vintage on Melrose. Can’t recall who made the scarf, but I got it at one of my favorite spots to shop, Milk in LA.

Double denim is everywhere! I saw another Canadian Tuxedo while picking up some breakfast at Lox Stock & Bagel in Scottsdale this morning. This guy was rocking some vintage denim – on top and bottom. Loving the multipanel shirt, complete with a little embroidering. Love it. I’ll be rocking my own Canadian Tux when I go horseback riding in a bit. Stay tuned!

Happy Black Friday! And while we’re all bitching about leftover Thanksgiving food (get ready for some Turkey Pho) and dreading those insane shopping lines today, think about your other leftovers … like denim. We came across this Wide Bread blog post called “25 Things to do with Old Jeans.” With a few helpful steps from this blog, you likely can skip those long lines and make some one-of-a-kind gifts with your recycled jeans.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! We are so grateful for such a wonderful first year, which wouldn’t have been possible without all of your love and support! We’re also thankful for this vintage picture of Marilyn Monroe in a pumpkin patch, Canadian Tuxedo clad. Wonder if this will make it into a scene in the new film, “My Week With Marilyn” starring Michelle Williams …

Converse is launching a new line of denim kicks that’s making us a little antsy in the pantsy. The Denim Pack, a collection of denim Chuck Taylor All-Stars will debut early 2012 – sorry kids, Santa’s gonna have to wait. The line includes three high tops and one low, in various washes. Not sure which we’re loving most … kinda want them all.

I just looked up to see this stylish senior leaning down to pet my dog in some dope double denim! Love it. Definitely the best granny Canadian Tux we’ve seen to date.

The Biebs is rocking more double denim than Rihanna these days! He was spotted this morning in LA, rolling out of an IHOP with his lady love, Selena Gomez. Just days earlier, he was on the other coast atop the Empire State Building in an Acne denim jacket and some black jeans.

Come on, Jimmy! Wearing a little denim on denim shouldn’t be a punishment. Last Friday, Jimmy Fallon was seen uncomfortably rocking a Canadian Tuxedo on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon after losing a turkey shuffleboard (wtf) match with Jay Leno. Although Jimmy referred to himself as a “tool,” I found his denim on denim attire a refreshing change from his usual stiff suit look. Even Announcer Steve Higgins likened him to the Marlboro Man, George Harrison (my favorite Beatle) and the Brawny man … um are those supposed to be insults?
Dear Jimmy, Thank you for rocking some dope denim looks …

I spotted food blogger Adrianna Adarme of A Cozy Kitchen fame rocking a Current/Elliott denim jacket and vintage Levi’s shorts on my way out of Coffee Commissary this afternoon. The coffee. The denim. Oh how I’ve missed this place.
