Spotted: Canadian Tuxedo in LA

Image

Another day, another denim. At least at the Coffee Commissary in Los Angeles. Seen above is Anthony Greenfield in a Levi’s denim jacket, Republic of Crate t-shirt, Zara jeans and his signature chapeau. Oh, and ladies and gays, if you need your daily dose of H.O.T., check out his Instagram page. Dayum.

Spotted: Canadian Tuxedo in #DTLA

ImageThe ever-beautiful (especially in a Canadian Tuxedo) Kristen Tischhauser stunned (again) in a denim shirt and jeans – both from Madewell – and Ash shoes today in Downtown Los Angeles. Keep, ’em coming, girl. You can do no wrong.

Spotted: Canadian Tuxedo on Melrose

Walking home from Starbucks last Sunday, I spotted this lovely lady working the double denim. Pictured above is Julia in a  denim top she picked up at Nordstrom, a Brandy Melville tee and jeans by Abercrombie & Fitch. You can catch Julia’s musings on her tumblr account here.

Double Double Denim at an Oscar Viewing Party

KTGS

Just got back from an Oscar Viewing Party where I ran into my girl, Kristen Tischhauser, also rocking a Canadian Tuxedo. I was able to woo her into a photo with my mad mandolin skills. Kristen is seen on the left in Aquilina jeans, a Vena Cava jacket that I had to work hard not to steal, Levi’s flannel shirt and Rag & Bone boots. I’m jamming away in 7 For All Mankind jeans, vintage Gap jacket, Zara top and Marni Mary Jane’s. A big thanks to Seth Iliff for hosting.

While shopping around my neighborhood on Sunday, I happened upon Black Jew Kid rocking this dope double denim ensemble in front of the newly opened Melody Ehsani Boutique (amazing). Black Jew Kid is seen here in a Levi’s denim jacket that he’s currently updating with some Dolce & Gabbana embellishments, and Play Cloths jeans.

Happy Birthday, Levi’s 501

Happy Birthday, Levi's 501

Last night I was honored to attend the Levi’s 501 140th Anniversary party at the Ace Museum in Los Angeles. Music by Frank Ocean. No big deal.

Canadian Tuxedo Day at Newport Academy

Image

The other night at Venice’s new hotspot Barnyard, I ran into pal Jamison Monroe, Jr., CEO and founder of Newport Academy, who excitedly showed off this photo of Jessie Hines and him at work one day, celebrating denim on denim back at the office. Who could blame him?

According to Jamison, “After a bit of a debate about whether denim was going to be an acceptable form of attire for the entire staff, denim won out and the next day we made it [Canadian Tuxedo] Day at Newport Academy.” Love it.

Jamison is pictured above in a Levi’s Vintage 1955 Sawtooth Washed-Denim Shirt (I want to steal it) and Won Hundred jeans.

Zoe Saldana Rocks a Canadian Tux in LA

Last week Zoe Saldana was spotted running around West Hollywood in a Canadian Tuxedo. The always fashion-forward star was doubled up in a denim Bella Dahl top and AG Adriano Goldschmied jeans, according to Coco Perez – that’s right Perez, we’ll do something you are never kind enough to do: give other bloggers credit where credit’s due.

Spotted: Canadian Tuxedo at Coffee Commissary in Los Angeles

It’s no secret that Angelenos love their coffee and their denim, so it’s not a surprise I always spot a great Canadian Tux when I hit the Coffee Commissary on Fairfax. Of the four I saw there today, photographer Dan Collopy was definitely rocking the best one. Pictured above, outside of Lindy & Grundy, Dan is in a denim shirt and waxed jeans, both by H&M.

Spotted: Two Canadian Tuxedos in Line at Let’s Make A Deal

20121213-213500.jpg

Just minutes before entering a place more bizarre than that bar in Star Wars, the set of Let’s Make A Deal (don’t ask), I quickly spotted the only other Canadian Tux through a sea of middle-aged lunatics dressed as babies, clowns and jail birds. To my left is musician Cody Digerolamo head to toe in Levi’s. I’m in 7 For All Mankind jeggings, an Arnold Zimberg shirt, Stetson hat and Wet Western.

Seriously, kids. Don’t do drugs: just go on this show. It’s much better.

UPDATE: I did not make a deal.
